The Vulpine Tarot - IV The Emperor by Mabon-Tail The Vulpine Tarot - IV The Emperor by Mabon-Tail
Man, I really need to rework the background. As some of the comments say below, the current background just doesn't fit at all.

Anyway, The Emperor is a card of authority and assertiveness. If you have no control over yourself, then you have no control over your surroundings. Fatherhood is a pretty big part of the Emperor, especially considering that every emperor needs an heir to the throne.

I'm hoping that the tree in the background at least resembles an Alder, which is the a tree in the Celtic Zodiac. It overlaps near perfectly with the sign of the Western Zodiac, Aries. On a third note, the fox is a power animal of the Alder tree, so this is a very powerful card in a symbolic sense, and it's a card rather dear to me, since I was born under Aries and the Alder tree in both zodiacs, and (obviously) my favorite animal is the fox.

Speaking of which, red foxes (Vulpes vulpes) are solitary hunters who feed on rodents, rabbits, birds, and other small gameóbut their diet can be as flexible as their home habitat. Foxes will eat fruit and vegetables, fish, frogs, and even worms. If living among humans, foxes will opportunistically dine on garbage and pet food. (Source: [link] )

Made on a 17" MacBook Pro with DAZ Studio (for the model), Illustrator CS3 (for the ink), Photoshop CS3 Extended (for everything else), and a Wacom Intuos3 6x11 tablet.

Hmm ... I think more rocks / mountain-y feeling for the bg could add some good symbolism to the Emperor. The bg is good, but I find it too much green for the Emperor card, which I associated with more "hard" colours like black, gray, red and brown.

But the figure in itself is really Emperor-y  I like the roman feeling you gave to his armor
